Project Overview

Project Overview

When COVID-19 changed healthcare almost overnight, the people at Grace Hospital faced an extraordinary challenge.

Created for the Grace Hospital Foundation, this documentary film tells the story of the hospital’s response through the voices of patients, healthcare professionals, Foundation leadership, and the community that rallied behind them.

Produced by Orange House Media in Winnipeg, the film uses personal interviews and documentary storytelling to reveal the uncertainty and pressure of the pandemic, but also the compassion, resilience, and generosity that helped Grace Hospital continue caring for patients when it mattered most.

The film also recognizes the individuals and businesses whose support provided vital resources and encouragement to frontline healthcare workers throughout the crisis.

At its heart, this is a story about people caring for people and a community coming together during one of the most challenging periods in modern healthcare. It is an example of how nonprofit and healthcare video production can move beyond simply communicating information to create an authentic human connection with an audience.
