Project Overview
Produced for the Grace Hospital Foundation, this documentary celebrates the extraordinary life and legacy of Pearl McGonigal, one of Manitoba's most influential community leaders and healthcare advocates.
Known for her distinguished career in public service, Pearl McGonigal made history as Manitoba's first female Lieutenant Governor while dedicating more than four decades to Grace Hospital. As Chair of the Grace Hospital Foundation and later Chair of the Grace Hospital Board of Management, her vision and leadership helped strengthen healthcare services and advance the Foundation's mission of improving patient care for generations of Manitobans.
Created to honour the woman whose name now represents the Foundation's highest recognition, this documentary reflects a legacy of leadership, philanthropy, and unwavering commitment to the people of Winnipeg and Manitoba.
Pearl McGonigal: A Legacy of Leadership shows how a personal documentary can preserve an important legacy while helping a nonprofit share the leadership, values and community impact that have shaped its story.
